Brightstar Resources Reports 94% Average Gold Recoveries in Sandstone PFS Metallurgical Testing

Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) said metallurgical test work for the pre-feasibility study at its 2.9 million-ounce Sandstone gold project in Western Australia has delivered average gold recoveries of 94%, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company said high recoveries were achieved across the deposits tested, including Two Mile Hill at 92% to 97%, Montague-Boulder at 90% to 99%, Whistler at 90% to 98%, Indomitable at 86% to 99%, Musketeer at 94% to 99%, Vanguard at 90% to 99% and Achilles at 73% to 95%.

The deposits tested represent about 80% of the Sandstone mineral resource, with results being incorporated into the PFS, which remains on track for delivery in the December quarter, the filing added.

The company's shares fell 1% in recent Thursday trade.

Carimin Petroleum Raises Stake in Sealink International to 25.3%

Carimin Petroleum (KLSE:CARIMIN) acquired a 5.8% stake in Sealink International (KLSE:SEALINK) for 9.9 million ringgit in cash, according to a Tuesday filing with Bursa Malaysia.The acquisition involved 29.1 million shares bought at 0.34 ringgit each, between Sept. 18 and Sept. 22.Following the acquisition, Carimin's stake in Sealink rose to 25.3% from 19.5%, making Sealink an associate company.Carimin Petroleum said the acquisition was part of its ongoing investment strategy.The deal was funded through internally generated funds and does not require shareholder or regulatory approval, the filing said.
