US 5-Year TIPS Auction High Yield Rises From Previous Auction, Demand Higher
The US Treasury's 5-year TIPS auction hit a high yield of 1.955% on Thursday, up from the 1.367% high in the previous auction.The bid to cover ratio for the auction was 2.61, above the 2.57 ratio in the previous auction.Dealers represented 49.26% of the bids, with direct bidders at 14.18% and indirect bidders at 36.75%.For takedown, dealers took 3.43%, with direct bidders at 27.99% and indirect bidders at 68.59%.
