Brazilian Rare Earths (ASX:BRE) intersected yttrium-rich heavy rare earth mineralization during recent drilling at its Monte Alto Deposit in Brazil, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The results were up to 2.5 meters at 7.5% total rare earth oxide (TREO) from 6 meters, including 1.3 meters at about 11% TREO from 7.2 meters, with 58,249 parts per million (ppm) yttrium oxide, 4,135 ppm dysprosium oxide, 488 ppm terbium oxide, and 1,588 ppm uranium oxide.
Follow-up diamond and auger drilling at multiple prospective corridors and numerous untested radiometric and magnetic exploration targets is underway, including the more than 5,000-meter second-phase program at Velhinhas, the filing added.
The company's shares jumped 4% in recent Wednesday trade.
