BP (BP.L) said Tuesday its profit and total revenue for the first half increased year over year.
Profit attributable to shareholders for the six months ended June 30 was $7.75 billion, compared with $2.32 billion a year earlier. EPS moved to $0.4899 from $0.1444, while earnings per American depositary share increased to $2.94 from $0.87.
The oil and gas company's total revenue and other income were $123.49 billion, compared with $95.56 billion a year ago.
Meanwhile, the board declared an interim dividend of $0.0866 per share, payable on Sept. 18 to shareholders on record Aug. 14. It previously paid $0.0832 per share.
