BP Agrees to Meet With Whiting Refinery Union Representatives

BP (BP.L) agreed to meet with union-elected representatives of workers at its Whiting refinery in the US.

In an emailed statement toon Thursday, the oil and gas company said it received a response from the United Steelworkers union on Wednesday, which provided dates for BP's consideration.

The response followed BP's calls for confirmation from the union regarding the continuation of negotiations on its latest pay proposal and the potential involvement of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in the talks.

Weatherford Shareholders Approve Redomestication To Delaware

Weatherford International (WFRD) shareholders approved all proposals required for the company's redomestication from Ireland to Delaware, the company said Thursday.Weatherford expects the transaction to generate about $20 million to $30 million in annual cash savings beginning in 2027 and improve adjusted free cash flow conversion.The redomestication remains subject to customary closing conditions, including the final approval by the Irish High Court.The company expects the transaction to become effective during Q4 2026, subject to those conditions.
