Boeing (BA) and Lufthansa Technik Defense signed an agreement outlining their roles in sustaining Germany's new CH-47F Block II Chinook heavy-lift helicopters through a network of parts warehouses to support the helicopters' operating bases, according to a Wednesday statement.
No financial details were disclosed.
The agreement sets the framework for the project's main contract, under which Boeing will provide its platform knowledge in delivering tailored parts provisioning, transport and warehousing for the German Armed Forces, Lufthansa Technik said.
Meanwhile, Lufthansa Technik will provide its logistics expertise and manage the supply of consumables and expendables for the German Chinooks, the company added.
