Boeing (BA) received an amended type certificate and an updated Production Limitation Record from the Federal Aviation Administration for its 737 MAX-7 after nearly a decade of review, the agency said Monday.
"The approval reflects years of sustained work to resolve complex technical issues and complete a thorough review of the airplane's design and supporting safety analyses," the FAA said in a statement.
The updated Production Limitation Record authorizes Boeing to begin production of the aircraft, according to the FAA.
Boeing didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from.
