Boeing Finalizes Order for Up to 150 737 MAX Aircraft With Turkish Airlines

Boeing (BA) and Turkish Airlines finalized an order for up to 150 737 MAX aircraft, comprising 100 firm orders for 737-8 airplanes and options for 50 more 737 MAX jets, Boeing said Wednesday.

The agreement includes substitution rights for the 737-10, the largest 737 MAX variant, and represents Turkish Airlines' largest Boeing single-aisle order, according to the release.

The aircraft are scheduled for delivery between 2033 and 2037, according to Turkish Airlines.

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
