Bloom Energy (BE) said Thursday it expanded an agreement with a MiTAC Holdings unit to build a fuel cell microgrid at an artificial intelligence server manufacturing campus in Fremont, California.
The project increases the overall contracted power capacity between the companies and adds to an existing installation at a San Jose production facility, the company said.
The on-site power generation will support current factory operations and allow the company to scale production as demand grows, Bloom Energy said.
Shares of the company rose more than 4% in recent Friday premarket activity.
