Bharti Airtel's (NSE:BHARTIARTL, BOM:532454) recorded an attributable profit of 81.7 billion Indian rupees in the first fiscal quarter, up 37% from 59.5 billion rupees a year prior.
Earnings per share increased to 13.37 rupees from 9.90 rupees in the year-ago period, according to a Tuesday Indian bourse filing.
Revenue from operations climbed 18% to 585.4 billion rupees in the three months ended June 30 from 494.6 billion rupees previously, driven by strong growth in India and Africa.
