Bethel Automotive Safety Systems (SHA:603596) received a proposal from chairman Yuan Yongbin to buy back between 100 million yuan and 200 million yuan of shares, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Under the proposal, the company would repurchase between 2.7 million and 5.4 million shares at up to 37.23 yuan apiece.
The repurchased shares will be used for stock incentive plans.
Shares of the automotive safety systems manufacturer fell nearly 1% in recent trade.
