Beetaloo Energy Australia (ASX:BTL) said flow testing at the Carpentaria-5H gas well in the Northern Territory began on June 11, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The flow testing currently underway resulted in a peak rate of over 14 terajoules per day, an average rate of 7 terajoules per day, and a current rate of around 6.7 terajoules per day. Since reopening, the water rate has dropped to around 500 barrels per day from around 1,300 barrels per day, with the water rate continuing to fall.
The construction of the Carpentaria gas plant is proceeding to plan, on time, and on budget. First gas sales from the pilot project remain on track for the December quarter.
A 233 line-kilometer infill Birdum Creek 2D seismic survey began acquisition across the deeper eastern portion of the gas discovery area in EP167 and EP168, both also located in the Northern Territory.
