Beat Holdings (TYO:9399) said its consolidated unit GINSMS will discontinue its application-to-person messaging service business by June 30, according to a Thursday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The Cayman Islands-based global investment company said that the company boards on Wednesday agreed to discontinue the business to improve profitability and focus on the software services business, improving long-term business performance.
The GINSMS will redeploy the affected employees into the existing open positions within the software service business.
