Bank of Montreal (BMO) has made an investment in the Radical Breakouts Fund from Radical Ventures that is focused on supporting artificial intelligence companies as they scale, the company said on Tuesday.
Bank of Montreal plans to mobilize up to $70 billion in new capital focusing on sectors such as AI computing that are considered critical for Canadian economic security over 10 years, BMO said.
The Radical Breakouts Fund has secured more than $1 billion in commitments from institutional investors and is designed to provide late-stage capital to innovative AI companies during critical stages of growth, according to a statement.
