Axsome Therapeutics' Auvelity Could Drive Revenue Beats After Launch in Alzheimer's Agitation, RBC Says

By

Axsome Therapeutics' (AXSM) Auvelity could drive revenue beats for the company, after the therapy's approval and launch in Alzheimer's agitation, RBC said in a Tuesday note.

Auvelity's launch in Alzheimer's agitation is meeting or topping Street expectations, RBC said, noting the "statistically robust inflection" in the therapy's new and total prescriptions since the approval in April. The brokerage estimated about 6,300 in new prescriptions in Q2, potentially increasing to around 27,600 in Q3.

Meanwhile, total Auvelity prescriptions in Q2 are projected to reach about 9,200, and then grow to around 37,400 in Q3 beyond the baseline trend, according to the note.

RBC also said the trends support its estimated $804 million revenue opportunity for Auvelity in 2026, with potential upside of up to $815 million.

RBC maintained its outperform rating on Axsome Therapeutics, with a $297 price target.
