Avanti Helium (AVN.V) sealed an agreement with RiverFort Global Opportunities for a credit facility of up to $10 million, it said Monday.
The initial drawdown of $5 million is expected to fund site work and advance its Montana helium assets toward helium production, a statement said. For the initial drawdown, Avanti will issue 6.4 million three-year warrants, exercisable at C$0.54. Each drawdown has an 18-month maturity, the company said.
"This financing is a pivotal milestone for Avanti and provides the capital we need to deliver first helium production," said Chief Executive Chris Bakker. "As we advance toward commercial production, it provides us with the financial flexibility to execute our development plans while also supporting our long-term growth strategy."
Avanti Helium shares are on a trading halt that will be lifted at noon, eastern time.
