Energy stocks advanced 1% at midday Friday.
Woodside Energy Group (ASX:WDS) gained almost 1% in recent trade after agreeing to divest its 70% operated interest in the Calypso Project in Trinidad and Tobago to BP, which already holds the remaining 30% stake.
On the flip side, the healthcare sector struggled, shedding 1%.
CSL (ASX:CSL) shares fell marginally in recent trade after the European Commission revoked the marketing authorization for the Tavneos drug following a recommendation from the European Medicine Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use.
