Astellas Pharma's (TYO:4503) profit attributable to owners of the parent more than doubled to 141.8 billion yen in the first quarter of fiscal 2026 from 68.4 billion yen a year earlier.
The pharmaceutical company's earnings per share increased to 78.96 yen from 38.11 yen in the year-ago quarter, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday.
Revenue rose 27% to 640.9 billion yen in the three months ended June 30, from 505.8 billion yen a year earlier.
Operating profit climbed 95% to 184.5 billion yen, while profit before tax more than doubled to 186.5 billion yen.
Astellas maintained its full-year forecast, expecting attributable profit of 300 billion yen, basic earnings per share of 167.46 yen, and revenue of 2.220 trillion yen for fiscal 2026.
The company also kept its annual dividend forecast unchanged at 80 yen per share, comprising an interim dividend of 40 yen and a year-end dividend of 40 yen.
