Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Friday Trading, Up 2% for Week

Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were rising sharply Friday morning, advancing 1.06% to 3,030.57 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index, which is up close to 2% for the week so far.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by mobile big data platform Aurora Mobile (JG) and brand platform Baozun (BZUN), which climbed 6% and 7% respectively. They were followed by online entertainment service iQIYI (IQ) and online game developer The9 (NCTY), which advanced 3.5% and 1.7% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by fintech companies Qfin (QFIN) and J and Friends (JF), which fell 4.4% and 4.5% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Zai Lab (ZLAB) and solar panel maker JinkoSolar (JKS), which were down 3% and 1.9% respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by IT firm Wipro (WIT) and lender HDFC Bank (HDB), which rose 1.7% and 2% respectively. They were followed by IT firm Infosys (INFY) and tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which were up 2% and 0.7% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN) and IT firm Sify Technologies (SIFY), which lost 8.6% and 0.2% respectively.
