Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were lower on Friday morning, decreasing 0.3% to 2,764.75 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by video streaming company IQIYI (IQ) and carmaker Honda (HMC), which advanced 4.6% and 2.9% respectively.
They were followed by hotel management company H World (HTHT), which advanced 1.6%.
The decliners from North Asia were led by semiconductor companies Himax Technologies (HIMX) and ASE Technology (ASX), which fell 5% and 4% respectively.
They were followed by financial company Futu (FUTU), which was down 1.9%.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical company Dr Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and technology company Infosys (INFY), which rose 2.1% and 1.1% respectively.
The decliners from South Asia were led by computer hardware manufacturer Canaan (CAN), which fell 2.5%.
