Argosy Minerals (ASX:AGY) said test work at its 12,000 tonnes per annum Rincon lithium project in Argentina achieved a lithium chloride purity of 99% and maximum lithium yield of more than 94%, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company's concentrated lithium brine was used to produce lithium chloride concentrate using a designated process technology in test work that comprised continuous pilot scale operations.
The test work confirms "technical feasibility of the process technology and clear potential for industrial scaling, with results verifying that a longer operation time simultaneously improves system recovery, purity and stability," Argosy Minerals said.
