ArcelorMittal (MT) said Monday a missile attack on its Kryvyi Rih plant in Ukraine killed two contractors, injured two employees, and halted primary steel production.
The strike targeted the facility's ironmaking complex, forcing remaining operations to idle or run at minimum capacity, the company said.
Damage assessments are ongoing to determine the repair timeline and the work needed to resume operations, ArcelorMittal said.
Shares of the company were down 3.7% in Monday trading.
