Apple (AAPL) on Thursday opened its Advanced Manufacturing Center in Houston, offering free training on smart manufacturing techniques to small and medium-sized businesses.
The 20,000-square-foot facility, located within the site that produces Apple's AI servers, is the company's second US manufacturing learning site following one opened in Detroit in August 2025, the company said.
Curriculum will cover final assembly, printed circuit board design, machine-learning-driven quality control and automation, with plans to expand training to local college students, the iPhone maker said.
CEO Tim Cook said the company will begin Mac mini production at the Houston facility later this year.
