Anton Oilfield Services Group (HKG:3337) has received approval from Iraq's energy ministry to become an official crude oil sales and export partner under a long-term cooperation agreement with State Oil Marketing Company, according to a bourse filing dated Sept. 6.
The company said it will provide the Iraqi state-owned energy company with oilfield services, connect oil and gas customers worldwide and fulfill their demand, and help collect payments.
"The signing of this long-term crude oil sales cooperation agreement will make Anton the only Chinese independent oil and gas energy company in the Iraq market with capabilities and qualifications covering oilfield technical services, oil and gas resource development and crude oil sales services simultaneously," the company said in a statement.
