-- Anterix (ATEX) said Tuesday it entered a partnership with Public Utility District No. 1 of Benton County in Washington to sell a 10 megahertz to 900 MHz spectrum license for private wireless broadband deployment.
Benton utility district's 900 MHz network will be utility-owned and controlled, and serve the demands of over 58,000 customers across its territory in the county, according to the company.
The network will facilitate grid automation, field workforce connectivity, outage detection and restoration, as well as compliance with Washington's Clean Energy Transformation Act, according to a statement.
