Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) has secured a $212 million post-performance tax credit from the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development under the Rural Economic Tax Increment Financing program for its Green River lithium project, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The credit represents 50% of the about $425 million in state tax revenue the project is projected to generate over 20 years, per the filing.
The total incentives now stand at around $406.5 million, including a separate tax rebate from the Utah Inland Port Authority, the filing said.
The company is also seeking additional incentives, with their financial impact to be evaluated as part of the upcoming definitive feasibility study, the filing added.
