Amundi (AMUN.PA) is purchasing two-year US Treasury notes after the bonds' yield jumped to over 4.50% in the previous week, Bloomberg News reported Monday.
Senior Portfolio Manager for Amundi Asset Management Nicolas Dahan said the French asset manager may use the two-year bonds to hedge against a "non-electable risk" of economic growth slowdown driven by oil price hikes, and reduce its short-end exposure on the US curve, according to a Sept. 11 interview cited by the news agency.
