AMTD Idea Acquires 50% Stake in Australian Hotel for $72 Million

AMTD Idea (SGX:HKB) acquired a 50% stake in The Ritz-Carlton, Perth, Australia, for $72 million, according to a Friday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

The hotel comprises 205 luxury rooms and features a restaurant and lounges, a bar, a spa, an infinity pool, a fitness center, and versatile event spaces, the filing said.

The stake was acquired at a property valuation of $201 million.

The acquisition was completed in collaboration with units, AMTD Digital and The Generation Essentials.

Austal Earnings Expected to Rise in 2027, 2028, on Back of Long-Term Order Book, Euroz Hartleys Says

Austal's (ASX:ASB) earnings are expected to rise in 2027 and 2028, over 2026, driven by a long-term order book, Euroz Hartleys said in a note on Monday.It assumes an over AU$3 billion in revenue at around 8% per annum or over AU$250 million in earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) for the best part of a decade, once mature and supported by a AU$17.7 billion order book.US shipbuilding and Australian margins only need to be steady on increased activity to increase EBIT, Euroz Hartleys noted.The investment firm retained its buy rating and AU$7.71 per share price target on Austral.
