AMS Ecogreen, a subsidiary of aluminium manufacturer AMS Advanced Material (KLSE:AMS), has received all necessary licences to begin its aluminium scrap metal business, according to a Friday filing with Bursa Malaysia.
The company can now undertake the collection, processing, and sale of aluminium scrap materials, which will be processed at its facility in Johor, Malaysia, with an estimated initial processing capacity of about 17 metric tons per month.
The scrap metal business complements the company's existing aluminium supply and is expected to provide an additional revenue stream.
Shares of the aluminium manufacturer were down 1% in recent trade.
