Amogy, a US provider of ammonia-to-hydrogen and ammonia-to-power solutions, has partnered with Japanese firm Kowa to develop ammonia cracking-based hydrogen supply solutions in Japan, according to a joint statement on Tuesday.
The companies said they will initially explore deployment of potential solutions in the Chubu region.
The collaboration aims to use ammonia in enabling the transportation, storage, and delivery of low-carbon hydrogen for industrial applications and energy infrastructure development.
Amogy said it will use its proprietary ammonia cracking technology while Kowa will leverage its extensive business network and industrial capabilities to build a robust hydrogen supply chain.
