Amgen Says Phase 3 Dazodalibep Trial Shows Systemic Disease Activity Improvement in Sjogren's Disease

Amgen's (AMGN) phase 3 study of dazodalibep met its primary endpoint, showing statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in systemic disease activity at week 48 in adults with Sjogren's disease, the drugmaker said Tuesday.

The improvement was measured by the EULAR Sjogren's Syndrome Disease Activity Index and was observed as early as week 4 and sustained through week 48, the company said.

Common adverse events were mild to moderate nasopharyngitis, urinary tract infection, hypertension and infusion-related reactions, Amgen said.

Shares of Amgen were 2.8% higher in early Tuesday trading.
