Alpha HPA (ASX:A4N) completed a letter of intent with a specialty South Korean ceramics supplier to the semiconductor industry, covering the supply of up to 1,400 tonnes of high-purity aluminas and alumina hydrates from its HPA First project in Queensland, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
It secured commercial qualification and letters of intent for 13,500 tonnes of demand, per the filing. It also completed an initial commercial sale of Al-Nitrate to a Europe-based space-sector customer for high-temperature protective coating applications.
It appointed chemical mechanical polishing/semiconductor specialist Chris Newman to manage and boost its semiconductor marketing in the US.
Its shares rose 3% in recent trading on Tuesday.
