Alfa Laval (ALFA.ST) secured a contract to deliver its hydrotreated vegetable oil pre-treatment systems for Acelen's new biorefinery project in Brazil.
The deal is valued at 1.1 billion kronor, with deliveries to take place in phases until the anticipated completion of the project and start of operations in 2029, according to a Monday release.
The Swedish heat transfer and fluid handling products maker's technology will enable the facility to produce over 17,230 barrels per day of sustainable aviation fuel using soybean oil, used cooking oil, and macaúba.
