Alcoa (ASX:AAI) reported Friday second quarter adjusted earnings of $2.12 per share, up from $0.39 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings of $2.25.
Revenue for the three months ended June 30 was $3.97 billion, compared with $3.02 billion a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $3.99 billion.
The company lowered its 2026 outlook for alumina production to 9.5 million to 9.6 million metric tons and alumina shipments to 11.5 million to 11.6 million metric tons while maintaining its forecast for aluminum segment production at 2.4 million to 2.6 million metric tons and shipments at 2.6 million to 2.8 million metric tons.
