Ajinomoto (TYO:2802) recorded a 13% rise in attributable profit in the first fiscal quarter to 36.5 billion yen from 32.2 billion yen a year prior.
Earnings per share were 38.10 yen, up from 32.62 yen in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday Tokyo bourse filing.
The food and biotech company's sales increased 13% to 412.1 billion yen from 364.0 billion yen previously.
The company forecasts an attributable profit of 123.5 billion yen, basic EPS of 129.84 yen, sales of 1.732 trillion yen, and a total dividend of 50 yen per share for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027.
The company revised its forecast in an upward manner after taking various factors into consideration, according to a separate filing.
