Air Water Sets Up External Committee to Probe Director Liability Over Accounting Irregularities

Air Water (TYO:4088) has formed an external attorney-led committee to probe the potential legal liability of current and former directors and auditors over improper accounting practices within the group.

The committee will examine the period from fiscal year 2020 through the second quarter of fiscal year 2025, building on findings from a prior special investigating committee report, according to Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.

Based on the committee's recommendations, the company will determine whether to pursue damage claims or take other legal action against the individuals concerned.

The board resolved to form the committee on June 19, with the aim of ensuring fair and appropriate judgment on accountability matters.
