Air Products and Chemicals (APD) said Wednesday it entered a long-term agreement with a semiconductor manufacturer to supply industrial gases and related infrastructure to support the client's plant and production expansion plans in the US.
The company said it will invest $250 million in Arizona to build, own and operate new gas supply infrastructure for the client's semiconductor manufacturing and advanced packaging operations.
The investment comprises PRISM hydrogen generation units, carbon dioxide purification units, bulk gas systems for helium, hydrogen and carbon dioxide, and related storage, purification, analytical equipment and pipeline infrastructure, according to a statement.
