AIC Mines (ASX:A1M) said exploration drilling at the Iris prospect, near the Eloise copper mine in Queensland, defined anomalous copper and gold mineralization over a strike length of 1.5 kilometers, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered intercepts of 1.8 meters at 1.1% copper and 0.2 grams per tonne grade of gold from 317.2 meters, as well as 12 meters at 1% copper and 0.3 g/t grade of gold from 227 meters.
Drilling at the Eloise South prospect, also located near the mine, intersected high-grade gold mineralization. This included an intercept of 3.2 meters at 92.5 g/t grade of gold from 446.4 meters.
