AFT Pharmaceuticals' (NZE:AFT, ASX:AFP) research and development portfolio is targeting a market potential in excess of $15 billion as the company works to strengthen its international operations, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.

The portfolio now covers eight patented projects, 24 off-patent injectables, and a range of projects in the early stages of commercialization, per the filing.

The company is developing its business hubs in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, US, Canada, and the UK. This will allow certain parts of AFT's portfolio "to cover up to 50% of the global market directly," the company said.

AFT's portfolio includes an intravenous iron therapy targeting a market as large as $7.4 billion, a room-temperature stable cream with a potential market greater than $1 billion, a medicine storage technology for which the market is estimated at up to $6 billion, and an infantile haemangioma medicine with a potential market in excess of $1 billion.

In accompanying presentation materials, AFT Pharmaceuticals said it is targeting fiscal 2027 revenue of over NZ$300 million.

The company's New Zealand-listed shares were up nearly 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
