AeroVironment (AVAV) said Tuesday it received an international purchase order for the LOCUST Laser Weapon System in a deal valued at more than $50 million.
The direct commercial sale includes an initial delivery of LOCUST systems and related support, marking a milestone in the international adoption of AeroVironment's directed-energy counter-drone technology, the company said.
Shares of AeroVironment were up 2.7% in Thursday trading.
