AeroVironment Gets $51 Million US Army Order for Switchblade Systems

AeroVironment (AVAV) said Wednesday that it has won a $51 million delivery order from the US Army to provide more Switchblade 600 Block 2 loitering munition systems.

The order also includes Switchblade 600 Block 1 systems for a US ally, the company said.

The latest order was awarded under the Army's $990 million five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for lethal unmanned systems, which was issued in August 2024, AeroVironment said.

Spyre Therapeutics (SYRE) said its experimental rheumatoid arthritis drug SPY072 failed to meet the company's internal performance threshold needed to justify further stand-alone development, prompting the halt of its monotherapy RA program.The drug delivered statistically significant improvements over placebo on several efficacy measures and showed a tolerable safety profile with no drug-related serious adverse events, the company said Tuesday in a statement.Spyre said it will now evaluate SPY072 in combination regimens and in other autoimmune indications, with additional clinical readouts expected in Q4.Spyre shares fell 12% in after-hours trading.
