AEON Credit Service Issues MYR200 Million Tranche of Islamic Commercial Papers

AEON Credit Service (KLSE:AEONCR) has issued its 12th tranche of 200 million Malaysian ringgit Islamic commercial papers (Sukuk Wakalah) with a tenure of 92 days, according to a Wednesday filing to the Malaysian bourse.

This facility is part of a larger ongoing Islamic commercial papers program used to fund Shariah-compliant consumer loans and refinancing facilities. It is scheduled to mature on Oct. 15.

Sukuk Wakalah shall be used for Shariah-compliant purposes, including providing consumer financing based on Shariah principles, the financing expenses relating to the Sukuk Wakalah, and to refinance any existing and future Islamic financing facilities of the issuer.

The company's shares were up nearly 1% in Thursday's trade.

Unisplendour to Dilute Stake in Computer Unit to 29.4%; Shares Up 9%

Semiconductor company Unisplendour (SHE:000938) said it will dilute its stake in subsidiary Unisplendour Computer Technology amid a 440-million-yuan capital increase.Unisplendour will waive its pre-emptive subscription rights, reducing its stake to 29.42% from 51%, with the subsidiary exiting consolidation, according to a Thursday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.One of the five investors of the capital increase, Haichen Huicai, will acquire a 12% stake in Unisplendour Computer Technology from five existing shareholders before the implementation of the capital increase.Shares of Unisplendour jumped 9% in recent trade.
