The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorization to Qantas Airways (ASX:QAN) and American Airlines for five years in respect of their aviation alliance on trans-Pacific routes, according to a statement on Friday.
Similar arrangements between Qantas and American Airlines have been authorized since 2011, the regulator said.
The ACCC is now seeking submissions in response to the draft determination by Sept. 17.
