Alphabet's (GOOGL) shares jumped 9.5% after the company overnight reported higher Q1 earnings and revenue that topped market expectations.
Microsoft (MSFT) reported fiscal Q3 adjusted EPS late Wednesday of $4.27, up from $3.54 a year ago. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $4.05. Its shares fell past 5%.
