The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 1.4% and The United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 1.5% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.4% lower at $95.45 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.2% to reach $105.28 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 1% at $2.67 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
SLB (SLB) shares were down more than 1% after the company reported lower Q1 adjusted earnings.
Eni (E) stock was 0.2% lower after the company posted a decline in Q1 net profit.
TotalEnergies (TTE) has secured financing for its Mirny onshore wind and battery energy storage system project in southeast Kazakhstan, the company said. TotalEnergies shares were marginally lower premarket.
