-- Leform (KLSE:LEFORM) signed a memorandum of understanding with Nippon Steel Trading and NST Trading Malaysia, to establish a long-term collaboration framework, according to a Wednesday Malaysian bourse filing.
Shares dropped about 6% in Thursday's afternoon trade.
Under the deal, Leform aims to increase steel material sourcing from NST Trading Malaysia and Nippon Steel Trading, while the partners will work to meet its supply needs and improve procurement efficiency.
The collaboration also includes joint efforts in negotiating with Malaysian steel suppliers and sharing technical know-how to enhance factory operations.
The MoU is valid until March 2036, and will strengthen supply chain stability and operational efficiency for Leform's steel business, the filing said.
