-- European Parliament negotiators made progress in talks with EU governments on legislation tied to the EU-US Turnberry trade agreement, though discussions are still ongoing, Parliament chief negotiator Bernd Lange said Thursday.
Lange said negotiators advanced discussions on the safeguard mechanism and review provisions tied to the proposed legislation during a second trilogue meeting.
The legislation aims to implement tariff provisions of the EU-US trade agreement reached in July 2025 in Turnberry, Scotland.
The next round of negotiations is scheduled for May 19 in Strasbourg, he said.
