-- Wai Chun Bio-Technology (HKG:0660) said it signed a memorandum of understanding to develop new energy projects, including a pipeline of at least $50 billion in South Korea, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The projects will cover wind and solar developments, with additional expansion planned across markets including Southeast Asia, Central Asia, North America, and the Middle East, the company said.
Wai Chun said it will act as lead coordinator and controlling shareholder, partnering with central state-owned enterprises, multinational corporations and financial institutions.
The company also proposed to change its name to Wai Chun Energy Group to reflect its planned expansion into the new energy sector.
