-- US weekly ethanol production rose slightly, according to the US Energy Information Administration report on Wednesday.
For the week ending May 1, US ethanol production averaged 1.02 million barrels per day, above 1 mmb/d last week and nearly unchanged from 1.02 mmb/d a year ago.
The four-week average output at 1.05 mmb/d was above 1.03 mmb/d during the same time last year.
Midwest ethanol production averaged 959,000 barrels per day, above 957,000 in the previous week. Four-week average output at 991,000 bpd, compared with 970,000 bpd a year ago.
Domestic ethanol inventories ended the week at 26.0 million barrels, above 25.9 million a week ago, and 25.2 million a year ago.
