Earnings per share came in at 4.83 rupees from 4.34 rupees a year earlier, according to a Tuesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges. The EPS was higher than the 4.02 rupees estimated by the analysts polled by Visible Alpha.
Interest earned by the lender in fiscal Q4 also increased to 328.0 billion rupees from 325.2 billion rupees a year ago.
The bank's board recommended a dividend of 3 rupees per equity share of face value of 2 rupees each for the financial year ended March 31.
